For years I struggled with an issue in my right shoulder. The front part of my shoulder experienced pain, especially when I would work out my chest or shoulder. At times, the pain was so severe it kept me from moving my shoulder in normal activity.
I visited numerous doctors and physical therapists to figure out the issue with my shoulder. I got an MRI, and even flirted with the idea of doing surgery to figure out the issue, though I was very hesitant to do that.
Part of my reason for finding a personal trainer was to seek help with the issue before resorting to surgery.
I brought the issue up to Chris within the first couple of days working with him as a trainer. He took great care in understanding my issue, asking numerous questions and seeking to understand the problem. After reviewing my situation, he provided a solution that seemed so simple I almost didn’t believe it would work. His diagnosis was that my muscles were off balance, which was causing my chest and shoulder muscles to pinch my nerves in my shoulder.
Chris immediately implemented a back-strengthening regimen for me that started working almost immediately. For weeks our focus was strengthening my upper back and shoulders, while doing light activity on my chest and front shoulders. The pain I had experienced for years while working out faded away, and within a couple months I was able to do full-on workouts on all body parts without experiencing pain.
I cannot recommend Chris enough. Beyond just being a great trainer, he helped me solve a problem that many doctors and physical therapists couldn’t figure out.

One year ago we started this journey and I couldn't be happier with the results! This mornings weigh in is a perfect example of why I don't weigh in often. Numbers have always been discouraging for me! I'm down 12 pounds in 1 year. Not a huge number. I lost that much in the first couple months. But maintaining and turning fat to muscle is my goal. I'm in the smallest clothes I've been in since my wedding day almost 5 years ago. This week I had to toss a pair of yoga pants because they fall down when I run. First I want to say thank you Chris so much for giving me this awesome opportunity to get my life back. I am a 34 year old mother of 2 beautiful girls aged 7 and 4. I've always been a good size until I had my daughter and gained 50 pounds. I struggled for 2 years to get most of the weight off. I struggled for 4 years by yo-yoing up and down. I felt awful in my own skin and was discouraged myself for not pushing more than I could. I came to a point in my life that I had a very hard time showing myself to my husband. It was taking its toll on me. I couldn't stand to look at myself in the mirror. I knew I had to do something to get my life back. I wanted to find something different. I worked with Chris with in a 3 month period. The results were terrific: I met my goals of losing 33 pounds, building up my strength in my chest, arm and leg.
